Our Second Annual trip to the Black Hills

Mike and I were fortunate to be able to take a few days off the last week of September and head out to the Black Hills of SD. We took our Harley for it's first long distance road trip and what a great time we had!!
The weather was perfect for riding the entire time and as always, we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.
For the first time in 41 years, we rode the 1880 Train. What a great time! It's a really interesting ride on an original 1880 Train. I've seen this train my wole life and never thought to ride it, but Mike thought it would be fun. I kept wondering why I had never done this before?! It's a two hour trip that's packed with SD history. I strongly recommend it for anyone heading the the Black Hills.
After taking about a gazillion pictures on the train, we realized the camera battery was almost kaput and we hadn't brought the charger! (Don't you hate when that happens?!) So, needles to say, about the only photos we got were of the train. Oh well! We'll remember the charger next time!
Of course, we stayed at our favorite place in Custer, The Roost. As always, The owners Frank & Suzanne, were so warm and welcoming and we even got the same cabin. As always, the time goes by too fast but there's always next year.
